My (bike) Ride
Do you bike-ride?
Maybe you’ve noticed: the City of Raleigh is in the process of implementing more bike-friendly roads on main thoroughfares like Hillsborough Street and the paths of the Greenways. If you’d like to be a part of the striping process, citizens are welcome to join this month on July 14th and 21st. See the Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Commission website for times and contact info. Plus, if you have thoughts you’d like to share as our city creates infrastructure for how we walk and bike around town, you’re welcome to head over to the Raleigh Municiple Building at 222 Hargett Street, downtown, every 3rd Monday of the month at 6pm. Feel free to email any questions to RaleighBPAC@raleighnc.gov.
Being a part of the conversation is the only way you can ensure change and progress that makes sense to you, as a citizen and important part of the community.
+ local biking community of interest: Oak City Cycling. They gave some frames to the design competition, Raleigh Racks.
